Surcharge for interfering with my working hours (7am – 5pm Sun-Thurs): All charges (basic and extras) doubled. Minimum 5000

By “shot” I mean a final shot, not simply a button press.
E.g. If you ask for fifteen poses you will pay for fifteen shots even if I take twenty to get the fifteen and even if you only choose to use two.

Except by prior agreement the rates would be worked out by adding basic to extras to arrive at a final amount for the shoot.
In case the rate for the extras does not add up to the minimum rate for that extra the minimum charge applies in addition to the basic rate.

Scanning Rates

Scanning is done with a professional model FILM scanner (not a flatbed scanner). This scanner can take both 35mm and medium format film. I do not use the automatic modes and I can extract significantly more detail using the techniques I have perfected over the last four years.

I can scan at three different levels of detail:

1000dpi which yields a file per picture of 1.3 megapixel for 35mm (or at least 4.3 megapixel for medium format)

2000dpi which yields a file per picture of 5.3 megapixel for 35mm (or at least 17.6 megapixel for medium format)

4000dpi which yields a file per picture of 21.0 megapixel for 35mm (or at least 69.8 megapixel for medium format)

After scanning I will convert the negative picture into a positive picture and do my best to match the overall look of the pictures in the album. This is included in the scanning price.

Options:

1.  I will provide very high quality JPEG files of the scans. These should be suitable for almost any use you might need such as printing, sharing, posting on the internet, etc.. JPEG files are, however, compressed in such a way that some of the original detail is lost. This is how they are able to be made smaller. I can provide the original uncompressed TIFF files for an extra fee.

2.  When I convert the negative scans to positive all of my adjustments are conservative and global. There is more that can be done with the pictures to bring out the details and expressions but it involves individual localised artistic work on each picture. This is a significant extra amount of manual work and I have to charge extra for it.

Pricing:

Price depends on detail level chosen

1000dpi:     250QAR per roll for 35mm or 120 — (double for 220)

2000dpi:     500QAR per roll for 35mm or 120 — (double for 220)

4000dpi:   1000QAR per roll for 35mm or 120 — (double for 220)

TIFF files included: 100QAR extra per roll

Manual retouch: 125QAR per INDIVIDUAL PICTURE
